About San Diego Christmas Guide
In San Diego everyone talks about sunshine, not snow. Surfing, not sledding. Hazy IPAs not hot cocoa. And we get it. We live in a postcard not a Christmas card. We listen to Dick Dale not Chip N Dale. And the only chestnuts you’ll find roasting are on Black’s Beach. Bah humbug. If you don’t like it here at Christmastime… if you miss The Seasons… pack a bag and hit the airport. We live in year-round vacation so use those saved airline miles and go visit family or ascend some snowy mountain peak in Vermont. And sincerely, have a merry. But if you’re “stuck” here in San Diego at Christmastime like we are, rest assured, you are in for a treat. A treat as Christmassy as anything in the Harry & David catalog. A treat as festive as the fogged windows of FAQ Schwartz, as heartwearming as a cheesy forkful of sausage from a German Kristmaus Market stand. So do Christmas how we do it in San Diego. Do it all. Do what you want. Do whatever. Do it at the baseball field. Do it on the beach. Do it with your dog. Do it again next year.
